The Breeze Kings have something special. Call it talent, dedication, charisma, on-stage chemistry … whatever it is, it has made them one of Atlanta's, and the south's, most popular and sought after blues bands.
The Breeze Kings formed in 1997 out of a mutual love for 50's era Chicago blues. The spark was there and word spread fast. Today, the band performs over 200 shows per year all over the eastern USA, and has made four successful trips to Europe. Featuring complex guitar parts, explosive harmonica, and rock steady rhythms, their exciting and authentic blend of Chicago, Delta, and other regional blues styles has caught the attention of people everywhere. Their energy has won over new fans while their unwavering dedication to time honored traditions has earned the respect and admiration of blues purists. They have opened for, and played with, some of the biggest names in blues, performed live on television and radio, and their music is regularly played on local, regional, national and international blues radio and internet programs. It's no wonder the Breeze Kings have won Creative Loafing's Best Blues Band in Atlanta award TEN years (1999, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2015) and were among the top 10 finalists at the 2005 IBC competition in Memphis TN.
The Breeze Kings have released four CD's on Atlanta's Veritone Records label. Their 1999 debut "Tying One On … for the People" introduced the band's raw talent and commitment to classic post-war Chicago blues. "You Got To Bring Some To Get Some", released in 2003, highlights the band's songwriting and musicianship. 2010's "Two Guys Live" is an intimate, all acoustic, live performance recording. The latest 2012 release "Can't Stay Home" once again showcases the bands creativity with 9 original tunes. Critics and audiences have received all four CD's very well with glowing reviews and radio play from all over the world.
The Breeze Kings are not like every other blues band and they are getting noticed everywhere they go.
